As a Border Collie of impeccable taste, I have sampled accommodation across a variety of walking destinations, and I can confirm that Smithy Cottage meets the exacting standards expected by the canine travelling community.

First and foremost, the walking opportunities are exemplary. Each day presented a fresh assortment of fascinating scents, woodland adventures and countryside rambles, ensuring both mind and body were suitably exercised. Upon my return, the magnificent wood-burning stove provided the ideal location to warm my paws and contemplate the day's important discoveries.

Security is naturally a priority for a responsible collie. The fully enclosed rear garden allowed me to conduct thorough perimeter inspections at regular intervals, while the off-street parking meant I could disembark from my transport with dignity and without the unnecessary complication of traffic.

The interior was clearly designed with distinguished canine guests in mind. Thoughtfully provided sofa throws meant I could graciously accept an invitation onto the furniture without causing diplomatic incidents, although I found the hearth rug an equally agreeable location from which to supervise my humans and ensure they remained on schedule.

Speaking of my humans, they repeatedly expressed admiration for the exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, which enabled them to prepare satisfactory meals between my excursions. They also seemed unusually pleased that the linen, electricity and generous supply of logs for the stove were all included, leaving them free to concentrate on the important business of taking me on longer walks.
